我觉得是排除法～
如果说不能确定despite the fact that 这种用法是不是最优 就先不看这部分
当主语是the lead attorney and his assistant时 谓语动词应为were而不是was -- 排除a d
bombard后面如果接him则指代不明 应接attorney --a c e
最后看b 尽管有些wordy 但问题不大 毕竟在排除完所有语法错误以后 利用wordiness来排除选项是最后一步才需要做的
