个人感觉选A吧 首先从第一个黑体句后面的but可以看出，第一个黑体句肯定是与作者观点相反的，所以直接排除C、D，而两个黑体句很明显是相反的观点，排除E，再看AB，第一个黑体句说的是一种一般情况，也就是generalization，AB的前半句都是对的，第二个黑体句说的是对于存货的另外一种解释，也就是对于generalization的一种例外，二就是第一个黑体句中generalization不适用与第二个黑体句所提到的情况。
我也不知道答案是不是这个 仅供参考哈哈哈

选A应该。
从最后那句式：It is true xxx, but xxxx. 基本能看出作者同意了前部分，但在余后否定了另一些部分。从整段逻辑来看亦是如此，所以C,D,E全部排出。C和D讲的是作者肯定，支持了前半段，不符合逻辑；E说的是作者前，后两部分都在否定，故而也是不对的。
B的问题在“Clarify”，这个单词一般不具有否定意味。一般说某人clarify，只是说某人前一句话讲的有些含糊，后一句他clarify一下，表达清楚意思。故而此人的逻辑立场其实是不变的，只不过言辞表达有变化。而这也不符合作者在本逻辑中表达的含义。其次B的小问题中，“specific phrase”指的是什么呢？
相比之下A更符合。

我也感觉选A 前面是普遍适用性规则，中间but话锋一转说这个例子不适用
