Manhattan SC 6th edition p.208 12章第17题有一道题：

Helen would feel better if she swallowed this pill.

答案：这句话是正确的。

我的问题是，可不可以改成

"Helen would feel better if she had swallowed this pill" or

"Helen would feel better if she were to swallowed this pill" ?

这两句语法上正确吗？语义上和原句又有什么区别呢？
