The AccountingDiscipline Group, University of Technology Sydney Business School, invitesapplicants for a PhD position in the area of financial reporting, auditing andcorporate governance in accounting. Candidates should have an educationalbackground with an Accounting or Finance degree.

ELIGIBILITY:

-Applicants must have completed a UTS recognised master’s by research orbachelor's degree with a thesis component, or an equivalent or higherqualification. Applicants are expected to have above-distinction academicachievement (higher than 75% overall).

-The English proficiency requirement for international students is: AcademicIELTS: 7.0 overall with a writing score of 7.0; or TOEFL: 94-101 overall with awriting score of 23. PTE (Academic) 65-72 may be acceptable.

-Nationality Criteria: All Countries

ABOUT THE SCHOLARSHIP:

The scholarship is funded by an Australian ResearchCouncil grant awarded by the Australian Research Council to Professor StephenTaylor, Professor Jere Francis and Associate Professor Yaowen Shan. Thesuccessful candidate will be awarded $27,000 per annum (tax free) for livingallowance over a period of 3 years (subject to satisfactory progress) withtravel support on attending research conferences and teaching opportunities inthe second and third years. The scholarship includes the tuition fees, and theobligations of research assistance equivalent of 10 hours per week (500 hoursper year). The successful applicant is expected to commence the study in August2018.

2.Cover letter explaining your reason for interest in a doctoral education inaccounting and why you are the ideal person to receive the scholarship;

3.Official undergraduate or postgraduate (if applicable) academictranscripts and testamurs (with English translation if applicable);

4.English test score certificate for IELTS or TOEFL orPTE (highly recommended);

5.Writing sample consisting of a paper written within applicant’s studies dealingwith an accounting issue or in a related area, e.g., a research paper/articleor a Bachelor/Master thesis (highly recommended).

DEADLINE:18 February 2018.

Shortlistedcandidates should expect to attend an interview either in person or on thetelephone or via Skype by the potential supervisor.

据我在澳洲的朋友说他们这个项目还挺好的。每年还有一个很nice的confrence，很多北美的老师也去。学校虽然新，但据说research氛围很好。大家可以考虑哟。
