标题: 再议一道争议题gwd-7-40

反正这题答案是A or C.但问题是（1）A中because of 引导的从句没有because那个好（2）但是C中时态没有A好，就是选哪个？望NN指导！！！

    我不知道答案。



    但是，我会支持A。



    本题的难点是predict，我觉得该词是个终止性的动词。就象find之类的词一样。






    所以，



    C除了貌似时态前后不吻合（其实，我认为时态用的没有问题，可以这样用）。



    主要是analysts predicted for weeks 你可以说analysts predicted weeks ago,但是，不能说analysts predicted for weeks（predicted是个短时间完成的动作）。






    A中的have been predicting for weeks表示过去几周许多分析家频繁预计，符合predict的用法。

    C，C的时态没有任何问题，楼主对比我刚才给你回帖子里面那题，两题惊人详细，过去时用的非常正确！A的完成进行时不好，其次economy’s continued strength绝对是不idiomatic的，要说也是continued strength of economy。

    economy’s 的用法比较常见，他表示的不是一般的无生命的东西。就想国家一样。例句：


    Katrina shows U.S. economy's vulnerabilities


    要是analysts predicted for weeks 没有问题，肯定是C好。不知道版主如何理解这句话？？

    可以说分析家几周前预计，但是，能说分析家们预计了几周吗？

    就如我三天前找到了这本书（I found this book three days ago）;但是，你能说我找到这本书三周吗？（I found this book for three days ）


    下面是longman中，关于for的解释：


    used to say how long an action or situation continues for
    Bake the cake for 40 minutes.


    We had been talking for a good half hour.


    He's been off work for a while.

    我認為 predict 這個 verb 如果只被做了一次
    那就可以用 simple past: predicted
    但是很明顯的你好幾週以來不可能只一個人 predict 了一次
    所以比較傾向於 "have been predicting"

    个人认为应该用A

    OG有一个考点解释的是过去时态和完成时态不能混合使用的

    可以看10版OG第30题的解释~有这么一句话：

    the use of the new technology
                cannot logically be described by both the present perfect has been and the past was

    新东方也有类似的讲解，呵呵~时态的一致性~

    我支持A ,因为OG中一直强调 AND 连接的前后两句,时态要一致.

    pridict,本身确实是个点动词，但是,题目中的分析家用的是复数,这也就意味着,分析家们一直在预测着着件事, 所以用现在完成进行时,可以说的通.

    没办法,这题只有矮子里拔将军了...

    我不记得是不是LZM说的: 从来不会选现在完成进行时作为答案...

    但这题,实在没办法

    我觉得选择C的原因是:

    Since February, the Federal Reserve has raised its short-term interest rate target five times,和because the economy continues strong, 是analyst 做出预测的两个并列的原因，所以，从形式上来说，because +从句 的形式 比 because of 这样的介词结构来的对称。
