个人理解：
我做的时候也是没有发现passive和active的区别，但我也排除了其他选b。
觉得d的错误在于they are quickly replaced. 这里的they应该是说arm, 前面 if they lose one arm，后面跟着就来个they来指代one arm，指代的错误同时造成了语态的错误。而且，compensating 后面有个逗号，导致后面的growing修饰前面整句话，不对。我觉得如果d改成they quickly replace it，再把后面的逗号去掉，那d就对了，语态和代词都没问题。
