逗号不能连接两个独立句子，分号可以，举例没有as an instance，只有A是对的，其他都是错的，不是正确而不简练。

关于B选项Growing competitive pressures may be encouraging auditors to bend the rules in favor of clients, as an instance, to allow questionable loan to remain on the books in order to maintain a bank's profits on paper.
首先for instance更符合idiom，as an instance错误。
其次B选项更改了句意。虽然语法上可以去掉分号，改成逗号和to do 与前面的to bend 一致，但是这样逻辑错误，因为to bend和to allow 根本就不是平行关系。楼主选择B应该没有完全理解句子意思，仅仅是从grammar的角度来选的B。
正确句子
Growing competitive pressures may be encouraging auditors to bend the rules in favor of clients; auditors may, for instance, allow a questionable loan to remain on the books in order to maintain a bank's profits on paper.
原文的意思是： 不断增长的竞争压力可能会促使审计师为了客户的利益而改变原则；例如，审计师可能会为了银行的账面利润而允许问题贷款出现在账目上。
分号后的内容是举了这样一个改变原则的例子，而不是增长的压力促使审计师不仅改变原则而且允许问题贷款出现在印上账目上）做这道题需要理解文章各部分的逻辑关系，to bend和to allow不是并列关系，而是后者从属与前者，是前者的一个例子。所以用分号隔开，后边单独一个句子。
- Cclients, like to allow
- Dclients, such as to be allowing
- Eclients; which might, as an instance, be the allowing of
关于其他的选项，都是简单的idioms类的错误。关于举例的表达：文中出现的as an instance ；like to allow；such as to be allowing 都是错误的！
as an instance（正确表达for instance）
like to allow（仅限GMAT中，GAMC规定like不能用于举例！更不用提like表示对比的话，后面也只能跟名词，基本上like后面只能跟名词）
such as to be doing（such as后应跟名词）
如果通过排除法，直接就能秒选出A
