why not B?

57. Once positioned in space, the Hubble Space Telescope will capture light from sources twenty times fainter compared to those that can be detected by ground-based instruments.

(A) compared to those that can b detected

(B) compared to those they can detect

(D) than those that can be detected（D）

(E) than those detecting

Why not C? Why does fainter describe sources? In general, we say the light is faint. Moreover, which one does telescope detect, light or sources?

第一题B没有A简洁，

those 是指代sources, 所以不能用that;并且从平行考虑，C也是不对的

补充57题,我还是不明白，比较的是什么？难道不是detect,capture light 吗？有说sources faint的吗？C中that 指代light from sources不行吗？

语法直接比较的应该是light sources 这里的光源是指发光的天体它们本身就是可以用亮度定义的间接在意义上比较的是在空中的Hubble Space Telescope 比在地面的设备观测的能力强

C本身结构也不完整吧

C结构为什么不完整啊？？taht 代light from sources？不会要用到天文知识吧！？还挺晕的
