标题: 求助一条语法题！！

242. Despite the recent election of a woman to the office of prime minister,the status of women in Pakistan is little changed from how it was in thelast century.

(A) is little changed from how it was

(B) is a little change from how it was

(D)has changed little from how it has been

(E) is little changed from the way it was

这题是prep08 语法笔记中一题，答案是C，但我觉得D好像除了啰嗦点，并没有语法错误，我想问问我分析的对吗？

The status of women in Pakistan has changed little from how it has been in the last century.

如果是how it has been in the last century，那么这个状态就已经是过去一直延续到现在了。
那这个比较有什么意义呢，has changed little也是从过去到现在，how it has been也是从过去到现在。

intended meaning应该是和原来的状态进行比较，然后是has changed little from how it was last century.
只是因为这里是in the last century，完成时的时间状语，所以用has changed little。

has been的时态错了应该是was
