非限制修饰比如 comma which 引导的非限制性定语从句；限制性修饰比如 that clause 引导的限制性定语从句；non essential 修饰比如两个逗号间的插入语。

楼主看的是正版么我特地去翻了第六版70页，并没有你说的non essential 的定义。那也上说的是 less, more, fewer 的用法
