求教各位nn，这里的for为什么是必须加的呀～
the same as如果是平行结构的话，前面也木有for啊，
求赐教哦！

不加for前后的指代不一样，前面的核心词是cost，这是个所有格结构，后面是plants,后面可以理解为the cost for other types of power plants,不过前后一致所以在这里省略了the cost而已。

那前面为撒是the cost of ，后面就成了the cost for了哇？

因为需要表达的意思不一样，cost of running plants是指运行成本，后面用the cost of other types of plants的话就是后面那个的成本，这个成本没有定语来仔细说明，可能有建造维护一大堆的成本，那么这里的对比就失败了

状语从句the cost of running nuclear plants is about the same as for other types of power plants中的比较对象是没有任何问题的。这是一个省略现象，补全则有：
the cost of running nuclear plants is about the same as the cost for other types of power plants.
这里的for基本上代替了of running，不直接用of是因为running也省略了。如果直接是of的话，会被认为是其它核电站的成本，而非运营成本。
这是我复习的时候看的老师的解释
