标题: like +noun.+ modifier的问题
有一个关于clause和modifier的问题

看论坛ron说 like should be followed by a noun (or noun plus modifiers）
我的问题是，like scientists who can not determine the transistion from one season to the next 中，like后面标粗部分是noun.+ modifier 还是clause呢？

原题是prep07的，当时这个选项错误原因的解释是like后面不能跟clause，就是说这种who../ that.../ which...之类的都算clause吗？

如果说 like scientists unable to determine the transisiton from one season to the next 是不是就是对的呢？

求各位大神解答，谢谢～

who 引导从句修饰（modify） scientists . 所以是 N + modifier

楼主下面剧的例子是自己造的句么? 如果不是能否给出来源，谢谢。

Whereas scientists, because of random fluctuations in the weather, cannot determine the transition from one season to the next by monitoring temperatures on a daily basis, so they cannot determine the onset of global warming by monitoring average annual temperatures.

1) Whereas scientists
2) Just as scientists
3) Like scientists who
4) Inasmuch as a scientist
5) In the same way as a scientist

是这道题来的哈，题目本身没没问题，是Just as... so ...的用法，但是我在选项3那里标注了一下like 后面不能加clause，不知道是不是标错了？scientists who...是noun+modifier？

Like + Scientists

后面who 引导的从句是用来修饰N Scientists 的所以是修饰
楼主没有标错，like 后面不能加句子。但是这里不是句子好嘛，是修饰scientists 的从句，从句是modifier
