正确答案是E。求问答案D中declined to an estimate of..的用法错误点，以及 with approximately...这里的用法是不是正确。

永远都不要去质疑正确选项呢更不要去改哈哈我的理解是numbering 可以理解成达到什么什么数量这里意思就是狼达到百万的数量了~

对于“Generally, COMMA + with after a clause must serve to express HOW the preceding action is performed. ”我持怀疑态度。例如：Starfish have a strong regenerative ability, and if one arm is lost it is quickly replaced, with the animal sometimes overcompensating and growing an extra one or two. 这里with引导的独立主格就不表示HOW the arm is replaced。这里with引导的独立主格表的就是解释说明（根据语意判断的）。
D选项的with引导的独立主格，approximately用法错误，这个词应该是形容后面的11,000 of them。副词是没法修饰名词的。

我的看法是：Starfish 这句话中, and if one arm is lost it is quickly replaced 是一个modifier，所以说with引导的实际上是跟在Starfish have a strong regenerative ability 后面，表示的是How the regenerative ability performed.
这一句的原话简单来看应该是：
Starfish have a strong regenerative ability with the animal sometimes overcompensating and growing an extra one or two.

不對，有些副詞可以修飾名詞
about, rather都是，所以這個判題點錯誤

所有副词都不能修饰名词或者名词短语。这点曼哈顿解释很清楚了。
about rather后面跟名词的时候都是在使用其作为介词的属性。

另外，同意with引导解释主句how的说法。

我觉得独立主格都没有错，E中some是个副词，表示的是大约，所以some 数量 + of them是没有错的，完完全全的独立主格
错就只错在to estimate

小哥哥，副词确实不能修饰名词，但是表达大约大概的时候，这些副词是近似在修饰名词，只是我们觉得是这样罢了。

举个例子，nearly 1000 students participate in the activity，第一，这个就是表示大约1000人参加，第二，nearly不可能修饰参加这个词，不然这个句子就变成了1000个学生大约参加，这个说不通。另外，数词和名词之间还是有差别的，虽然曼哈顿提到了副词不修饰名词，但是在表示数量的时候还是可以这样用的。

另外我解释一个some+11000+of them这个独立主格是怎么回事。所有人都讲独立主格，难道对some+11000这样的结构没有疑问吗。事实是，这里some等同于approximately，作为副词，表示大约，所以主语就是11000 of them，some只是表示个大约而已，然后DE中with的复合结构和数量名词加动词的结构都是正确的，我觉得split就在to estimate，而不在别的

关于副词和名词的关系，我觉得大家这样理解，副词确实不修饰名词，但是副词可以单独作状语啊

almost lover，指的是恋人未满，almost everyone，几乎所有人，approximately 11000 people，这些副词大家就给当个状语吧，我自己是学习拉丁语系的，在葡萄牙语中确实存在“apoximadamente+数量”这样的表达出现，类比英语，我觉得之前学过的一些表达也不能随便就给推翻了

我有一个问题哎，有些资料对于独立主格的定义就是一般形式的独立主格比如（E选项）以及with引导的独立主格比如（D选项），就是把with去掉了而已，所以这里为什么可以排除掉with结构，而留下一般结构呢，这两者独立主格有什么区别呢
