标题: 求大神！！Verbal 一道难以理解的关于数量的CR题！
Many gardeners believe that the variety of clematis vine that is most popular among gardeners in North America is jackmanii. This belief is apparently correct since, of the one million clematis plants sold per year by the largest clematis nursery in North America, ten percent are jackmanii.

Which of the following is an assumption on which the argument depends?

(A) The nursery sells more than 10 different varieties of clematis
(B) The largest clematis nursery in North America sells nothing but clematis plants
(C) Some of the jackmanii sold by the nursery are sold to gardeners outside North America

答案是A，不明白为什么超过十种种类就一定jackmanii最受欢迎，我也可以有其他一种clematis然后它数量20%啊

jackmanii占10%，其他的占90%，但结论是：他是最popular的。所以如果种类少于十种，剩下的90%就一定会有至少一种占得比jackmaniii的10%多，jackmanii就不是最popular的了。

Before the construction of the dam and fish pass, several thousand fish a day swam upriver during spawning season. But in the first season after the project's completion, only 300 per day made the journey. Clearly, the fish pass is defective.

我自己选了A，因为我觉得鱼自己走了才导致数量减少，所以穿越大坝的数量减少，因此就可以weaken文中结论，但是答案选的是C。。。
不能理解，求赐教

首先这题的逻辑关键点是作者认为是鱼的数量变少，是因为fish pass不好。A选项是说鱼从fish pass 通过后就不再回游，与通过fish pass的鱼数量的减少无关。C选项是说建大坝会让有毒的物质浮起来，毒死downstream也就是即将通过fish pass的鱼，从而导致鱼的通过数量变少，不一定是因为fish pass不好，属于他因削弱。

请教一个问题什么叫assumption啊？是不是没有这个条件结论一定错但是有了这个条件不一定能得出结论？相当于必要非充分条件？绕晕了我

题目说的是在spawning season从下游往上游migrate的鱼数量减少 A选项意思是从上游往下游migrate的鱼数量减少的原因说反了

不是的，assumption就是假设题，也就是题目在选项这个假设里面成立。这个假设不一定使题目绝对正确，只是使题目的正确性增加；但是如果将这个选项取反，就会推翻结论。

原来这样。。我一直理解成没有鱼回来，所以鱼量减少，自然再出去的鱼量就减少。。。
