我现在收到了HKUST - NYU stern的在职Ms in Global Finance 和剑桥的MBA offer。本人31岁，已经有一个硕士双学位，现在在欧洲的银行做国际银行业务，工作也挺喜欢的，不过公司都是老员工，学徒制，节奏慢，上升慢，对于中国人来说，空间有限。读完书以后也想要继续金融的工作，也不想换地方，因为老公和孩子都在欧洲。但是想去觉得长远考虑，需要继续进步，也想尝试一下其他functions。抛开这些不说，不知道大家对这两个offer的价值方面，有什么想法？ 作者: JonFrank 时间: 2017-7-5 15:47
Hello hello. First off, congratulations on getting both of these offers! There are many applicants out there who wish they had the problem of having to choose between two great programs :-D
And I wish I could help you decide, but this is a very personal decision. You need to look at both programs and figure out which is more likely to get you where you want to go. In general, an MBA will open more doors because you can use it in so many different fields, but if you want to stay in Finance and the MS in Global Finance offers coursework and recruiting in banks where you'd want to work... then that can be a great option, too!
So you need to really sit down and figure out which program offers more of what you need. As much as I wish I could help you decide, only YOU can make that call. But if it helps, here are some things to consider when making this decision: do you want to continue working while you study? If so, the PT program is a better option. Who is recruiting at these programs? Find that out and then see who has more companies you like recruiting at their school... that should be a good indicator of which program to choose. Also, talk to people in your industry and see which program THEY think is better. They will be the ones hiring you, so their opinion is way more important than mine!
