其次，物流概念里强调了对象是过程中的物料和产品（ material and product）。过程是哪些过程呢？采购，生产和分销（botaining, producing, and distributing）。有哪些要求呢？合适的地点和数量（proper place and in proper quantitites）。仓储在这里可以放到分销里面。
如果用一个直观的方式表达物流我会用一个公式： Logistics = Materials Management + Distribution
供应链的定义要注意三点。第一，对象是产品和服务（products and services）；第二，过程包括了从原材料到最终客户（from raw materials to end customers）；第三，方式包括了信息流，实物流动以及财务流。
