答案是C ,但我人为D 也不对,可数名词 leader 应有修饰呀?

答案是A, 我同意,但C是否也不对, drastically副词做状语不能放在谓语和宾语之间吧?

of copper ( were ) unknown ( between ) them.

答案是D, 该怎该?

119，改成among, them 是指inhabitants

119. 同意galfeild MM的意见. between----> among. 因为这里的them是指 early inhabitants.

114.一般情况下,这个副词是应该放在宾语后面,但是这个题中的宾语是the direction of literary studies ,太长了.在这种情况下,这个副词是可以提前的,是为了平衡句子的需要.语法上没有错误.

103) )< leader  of >,  some nouns express the idea that the person is the only one in an organization. They don't need a determiner before them.
e.g president of the US
      chairman of GE.......
