14. Corporate officers and directors commonly buy and sell, for their own portfolios, stock in their own corporations. In recent days, while the price of MEGA Corporation stock has been falling, the corporation’s officers and directors have bought up to nine times as much of it as they have sold.

portfolios你可以理解成各种投资的组合，对于individual来说，举个例子，你的portfolio（这里portfolio明显是指investment portfolio）是：
50% real estate你上海的那套房子
25% Chinese A share
15% US stock
5% CD
5% savings

再把你stock的portfolio打开看一看，就是什么：
Chinese A share：“贵州茅台” 20%, "0000002”万科20%, blabla
US stock: XOM 20%, APPL 20%, TSLA 20%， blabla

其实我更想问一下句子结构，你说第一句话里 ”stock in their own corporations“是“own portfolios”的同位语吗？
但又感觉不是，因为stock in their own corporations 只是投资组合里的一部分，并没法解释说明投资组合呀？

哦哦，你是这里不清楚啊。这种两个逗号或者两个破折号夹在中间的句子经常是插入语；其实这句中间的 "for their own portfolios" 是个插入语。不信你把这玩意拿掉，或者放后面去试一试。

Corporate officers and directors commonly buy and sell, for their own portfolios, stock in their own corporations.

Corporate officers and directors commonly buy and sell stock in their own corporations.

Corporate officers and directors commonly buy and sell stock in their own corporations , for their own portfolios.
