觉得but比nervertheless chreating好，但有but 的选项有都有being produced，所以不知到底应该选那个答案，请高手指点，先谢了！

我觉得应该选择E.

我的理由

(1)冒号有个功能，就是解释前面的内容。

（2）冒号后相当于，because they(Dolphins )have (省略了) a complicated system of whistles, squeaks, moans, trills, and clicks produced by sphincter muscles inside the blowhole.

E更好，但是那位能讲讲but nevertheless 连用的道理，我在google里倒是搜到了他们俩连用的句子。可是感觉but 和 nevertheless 用一个就好了，两个一起用觉得多余。

你说的很有道理。我也这样想过。

可是，其他的答案好像问题更大。E是否可以理解为but后面是某个句子的省略，而将but 看作连词呢？刚刚搜到的句子。but在此应该是连词。

a good sample. here "but" is conj to connect "challenging" and "curiously engaging", and "nevertheless" is adv. correct.

But in the question we discuss, "but nevertheless" is not used to form the parellerity.

这道题有没有g友碰到过或者在jj出现过啊？如果没有就不要讨论了，没有意义的题目！并且有g友说C选项打错了

原题为：

我的版本的C是这样的，就选了B,　但B的They有指代Sounds还是Dolphins是否可以的争议

C答案后边少写了一个with,所以加上后,c是正确的.考试遇到就看后边是不是加了with,如果加了就是c了.

b冒号后的they指代不清，理论上they应该指代前面的sounds，因为whisthle，squeaks，moans都是各种各样的声音，但是they同样也可以指代海豚

c的being应该省掉，

a使用被动语态躲避了指代不轻的they，所以只能选a。
