这题我知道答案是E， 但是在想如果有个F选项为The, 是否也对呢？The chair of .....and a board member for....,作为Joan Phikill的同位语是否可以？

比較像變2個獨立的句子 run-on sentence
硬要改的話
Joan Philkill, the chair of the planning board for 18 consecutive years and a board member for 28 years, attended more than 400 meetings and reviewed more than 700 rezoning applications

个人看法哈，我觉得这和层主说的一样的啊。没有run on 呀，所谓的run on 就是两个独立的句子之间缺少连词，这里第一部分并不是一个独立的句子呀

我反而倒是觉得层主这么写的话 JP, .... , attended.... 这个两个逗号见的部分变成了插入语。插入语的话应该去掉后并不影响句子的愿意，这里去掉后显然是原本句子的意思缺失了一部分。
个人浅见还是象楼主那样的F选项更加好些，欢迎讨论

正常同位語會解釋逗號前的名詞,我沒看過一次同位語那麼長的(歡迎列出句子讓我改觀)
我之所以那麼改是因為同位語的作用是用來解釋比較複雜的東西(像專有名詞),
Joan Philkill這個人然後用同位語補出他的身分(有沒有他的身分沒差),接著接位語把句子寫完

嗯 同位语是长，但是这种语法现象不是ron on 哦
我找到两句都是opening modifier 比主语长的： OG16 第33题和72题，虽然考的划线部分和上面不同，但是可以看出标黑的部分是比人名长的。
所以个人浅见是长同位语不是问题，问题是这长又或者是短的同位语的位置是否对句子的其他部分产生影响。
层主要是有反面的例子，欢迎举例哈，大家一起进步

我完全被你說服了.... 希望有朝一日能跟你一樣
沒錯Ron說過別試著把錯誤答案改成正確答案,而是應該理解每個答案為甚麼錯,因為答案是比出來的
但是阿... 大家還是會有改錯誤答案的衝動
