Full-Time Research Assistant/Associate at Strategyand Entrepreneurship Department

Who you work with

Professor Weiru Chen (陈威如),Associate Professor of Strategy at CEIBS, who earned his PhD at PurdueUniversity, taught at well-known business schools including INSEAD and wonseveral best paper awards and teaching awards, and authored two best-sellingbooks Platform Strategy (平台战略:正在席卷全球的商业模式革命)and PlatformTransformation (平台转型:企业再创巅峰的自我革命).For detailed profile please see http://en.ceibs.edu/chen-weiru.

Chances are there foryou to collaborate with top scholars from INSEAD, HBS, SMU, & IESE.

What you work on

1. Platformorganization (平台化组织与管理)

2. Intra-firmentrepreneurship (企业内部创业孵化的战略与机制)

Majortheme: To explore why and how organizations transform themselves or incubatenew business internally to achieve sustainable competitive advantages.

What you do

Assist in various researchactivities, including:

§ Literature reviews,

§ Company visits andinterviews,

§ Interview data coding,

§ Teaching casedevelopment,

§ Practical articlewriting,

§ Manuscriptpreparation, and

§ Coordination ofresearch projects;

Get paid to be inspired andmentored to understand the world with different lens, and grow your heart andsoul through efforts.

Who you are

§ Experience in 1) analysis2) research or 3) consultancy would be preferred. In particular, skills in 1)conducting face-to-face interviews and qualitative data analysis or 2)analyzing data with statistical software (e.g., STATA/ SPSS/ R etc.) would bepreferred;

§ A master degree in Management/Economics/Sociology(esp. in Strategy/ Entrepreneurship / Organizational Behavior) would bepreferred;

§ A clear desire topursue a PhD overseas would be preferred;

§ Excellentinterpersonal interface such as communication skills and business etiquettewould be a plus;

§ Excellent command ofEnglish and Mandarin is a must;

§ Excellent use of MSWord, Excel, and PowerPoint is a must.
