标题: 求问一道OG2017-CR-620！orz insincere public statements那道题orz
Voters commonly condemn politicians for being insincere, but politicians often must disguise their true feelings when they make public statements. If they expressed their honest views—about, say, their party's policies—then achieving politically necessary compromises would be much more difficult. Clearly, the very insincerity that people decry shows that our government is functioning well.
Which of the following, if true, most seriously undermines this reasoning?


A.Achieving political compromises is not all that is necessary for the proper functioning of a government.


B.Some political compromises are not in the best long-term interest of the government.


C.Voters often judge politicians by criteria other than the sincerity with which they express their views.

当时选的时候就在A。B里纠结，要分析的话这是道因果题，因是政客的不诚信言论有利于政治妥协，果是这样可以使政府良好运作。那削弱的话，我觉得既可以是A，就他因，也可以是B，就是原来的因果联系本来有问题。最后没选A是觉得它说，达到政治妥协不是政府良好运作的唯一条件，但我觉得不用证明唯一性啊，只要有利于政府运作就可以了嘛。然后B就是说因不一定能达成果，很多妥协不符合长期利益。
那为啥最后选A呢哭

不是证明唯一性，A项的意思是“达到妥协不是政府良好运作所需要的全部”，也就是说“达成妥协不等于政府运作良好”。很明显，这就把两者的关系进行了削弱。

这个题目我读到的信息是这样的：
从
politician 如果表达了honest，politically necessary compromises会difficult
推断出
insincerity ， our government is functioning well
也就是说honest的话 function就not well也就是difficult了。
这里发现有一个gap就是把necessary compromises和function，所以weak的话抓住这两个不等价去攻击。也就是A。
B说的是necessary compromises和文章外一个东西的关系，并没有说和function的关系，可能也有weaken的成分，但我们要选most seriously undermines，就这个题目而言一定是直接攻击gap的选项。

honest views和非politically necessary compromises 的关系
honest views 等价于非insincere
非insincere 和非politically necessary compromises 的关系也就是说 politically necessary compromises和insincere的关系

Clearly, the very insincerity that people decry shows that our government is functioning well.
insincerity和government is functioning well的关系

其中insincerity是公共元素，则politically necessary compromises和government is functioning well必须有关系就是加强，不一定有关系就是削弱。不管是加强还是削弱politically necessary compromises和government is functioning well必须同时出现在选项中。符合这个条件的只有A。
这是最快的方法，除非有两个选项同时出现politically necessary compromises和government is functioning well，那么两个选项一定逻辑反向。就需要再判断一下充分必要关系（GMAC现在很少出两个相关选项的题了，因为外国人智商不够用）。

这里错了。
If A, B为真，则If not A, not B真假不定。
If A, B为真，则if not B, not A是原命题的逆否命题，与原命题同真同假。

这下彻底理解了，我因为抓到了两个元素，而选项中只有个A涉及两个元素，就选对了，原来里边还有一层推导关系，谢谢。

大神拜！谢谢你的解答~感觉你的解题思路背后是不是有一套体系呢，因为我平时更习惯直观的去理解啦，但是确实有时候不能排除一些选项。
像你这种找逻辑链，再找两个主语的我还是觉得有点玄哈，有没有什么帖子是对这种解题方法更详细解释的呢？

还有B，我还是不太清楚，如果不用这种判断方法用Helr的因果判断的话，它是不是一种切断原有因果联系的答案呢，我还是没太懂为什么这个与题无关

这是GMAC常出的题型之一：GAP题。
只要gap在，首先削弱/加强gap

我只不过把充分必要条件的箭头给省了，因为不重要。
