标题: 关于分词状语的语法困惑~
A friend function is declared using the keyword “friend” in the class definition。

请问这里的 using the keyword “friend” in the class definition 做什么成分，修饰哪个成分？为什么是主动的using呢？

不知道为什么，我看句子总喜欢分析成分，感觉快有强迫症了！

“declared”，已经很清楚说了，后面肯定要解释前面的东西了。当然，这个函数是C++里面经常用的。

如果你对于verbing的成分不是很清楚, 最好不要用这种非gmat sc的句子来研究。解GMAT SC第一步就是understand intended meaning，所以所有的正确句子都有一个非常明确的意思。
对这个涉及的专业知识不了解，但感觉这个句子在gmat中应该是不正确的。因为“using......"如果作为verb modifier修饰declare, 那么动作主体就变成这个function use the keyword, 而不是人用keyword来解function

动名词充当对于friend function的解释。别钻进去了，形式成分等等都是为了逻辑语义解题的。
