标题: 医疗行业连续创业背景想申M7，求定位
本人男，28岁，计划2017年申请，到时WE 5 yrs
T waived，G在准备（预计730）
EDU：Bioengineering BE 985，gpa：84/100；MS us top15 Med School，gpa：3.6/4.0
期间在biochem和biomed领域国际期刊发表10 papers，5篇1st/co-1-st author
WE：上海中科院R&D 1yr，Fortune500 marketing 3 yrs＋sales 1yr，负责过global blockbuster在国内上市
startup：一年多前开始布局某治疗领域，独立完成两家公司angel round fundraising，co－founder & COO（IT med和biotech）；另外两家公司（国际医院和biotech公司），作为founding member组建marketing function
请教：定位M7最top的那几所是否合适？

MIT Sloan，因为Boston的healthcare network and resources很庞大，加上MIT又是以entrepreneurship出名的
还有Wharton, 他家有个Healthcare的major, 是要提前declare的，而且是Wharton MBA里面的elite, 面试时还要另外多面试一轮，很多人进了wharton MBA program却没法进healthcare的major, 可见有多牛，我campus visit的时候领略了，healthcare major的人感觉都高人一等。

关于wharton 如果healthcare major没录取，会自动掉到普通的MBA program里吗？
另外，GSB又是什么风格呢？

对，如果wharton进了healthcare major没进，你就选其他的major呗，还是可以选healthcare related的课程的。
GSB我是两三年前去参观的，当时没有class visit，所以没法对他们的教学做什么评价，但是GSB的整体氛围很好，真的是很down to earth的感觉，整体都挺casual的（对比HBS来说）。我不知道healthcare在GSB怎么样，感觉很多GSB多多少少都是有start-up mindset的，就算是healthcare industry的也是想着怎么开发出新的东西来improve healthcare的

Hey there!
So first of all great to hear from you!
You have a very nice and very interesting profile.
Biomed folks are very much sought out in the job market, and thus tend to do quite well in B-school.

Fro what I can see here in your profile, everything looks pretty awesome to me. You seem to have done some serious research and really know your stuff. And you also have some experience on the business side of things, and I feel like this combination has the potential to be quite potent.

Get your GMAT at 730 or above, and I feel like M7 schools will be in range. Although you do have to make crystal clear and highly refined goals, and push your leadership experience as much as possible.

你好，看到你关于wharton HCM方向的帖子，我对这个挺感兴趣想请教一下：我没有医疗教育背景或者直接工作经验可以申请吗？我在投行工作2年，PE3年，其间有看过医疗项目但不是focus；工作之余全程参与了医疗诊断服务公司的创业，负责市场及融资，现在发展不错；此外还组织了比较有影响力的医学论坛。我是医学世家，以后想从事连锁医院集团的管理或者相关领域的投资。我的问题是：按照我这个story，如果申请wharton MBA，是否一定要选HCM？因为据说HCM更加selective，HCM没选上还有机会被其他track考虑吗？我担心没有直接医疗背景选不上反而会hurt我的chance。如果不声明选HCM，我这个story讲起来会不会被challenge为何不选HCM？比较纠结，请你指教，谢谢

你好，我跟你的背景有点像，目前做人工智能医疗方向，想问一下你最后去了哪所学校读MBA呢？很多朋友说创过业没必要去读MBA了，不知道你对这个怎么看。
