第一个问题：

正确选项是B，但是选项里的their指的是entrepreneurs，后面的than they 的they又指的是companies，这样真的可以吗？这种指代问题可以忽略吗？
同理这道题的正确选项来看我觉得后面的its根本没指代对象啊。虽然这道题只能选D

在not only...but also 的搭配中，可以只用but 或只用also, 甚至可以把 but also 都省略掉。

I not only heard it but (also) saw it.
我不仅听到了，而且看到了。

He was not only compelled to stay at home, (but) also forbidden to see his friend.
他不仅被圈禁在家里，还被禁止去看他的朋友。

She not only finished the task ahead of time, (but also) she came to help us.
她不仅提前完成了工作，还帮助我们。

指代是秉承就近指代的原则的，685里they 指代companies 因为只有在指代companies 整句句子才是correct meaning

747题的 its 指代是this species

另 RON大神说过，适当的pronoun ambiguity 是可以容忍的

同问一下799, D选项
(D) but also pilfer valuable information such as business development strategies, new product specifications, and contract bidding plans to sell

忽略to sell的错误，如果前半句已经有not only were they able to...为什么后半句不可以看成是省略了(they were able to) pilfer valuable information...?

they were able to not only ....but also....
这样子是正确的吗？　？求大神们解答！！！
