主要的纠结点在于with 和 by 的使用上
我个人认为这句话想表达的意思是starfish 有这种快速生长手臂的能力，所以后半句的 overcompensating and growing an extra是starfish 的一种能力的附加，have a regenerative ability 也好，if one arm is lost it is quickly replaced 这种情况也好，都不是通过后面所说的这两种情形来获得的，所以不可以用BY
除此之外， overcompensating 和 growing an extra one or two应该是并列的，所以不能用逗号隔开
如果按照C选项所说，句子的意思就变成了 如果starfish lose one arm，它会生长出一只新的手臂，偶尔因为overcompensating 会生长出一两只多余的
那这样说可能会好一些 If they lose one arm they quickly replace it，sometimes they grow an extra one or two by overlycompensating.
不知道我这么想是否正确，求解答
