标题: MBA short term goal去做管培生合理么？
本人26岁，曾担任零售店店长，又有工科背景，想读完MBA去特定领域的multinational corporation做管培生，比如参加siemens graduate program，为未来在此领域开公司做铺垫，这个career path可行么？
会不会受到challenge 如做管培生没必要去读MBA之类的？

Hey there!
Well you have to be a LOT more specific about both your short-temr and long-term goals. AND it has to make sense with your past. So lots of companies have “Leadership Rotation Programs” and it’s a totally good goal to want to get into one of those. But what industry? And why?

As for your long-term goals, I would suggest dropping the entrepreneurial goals unless you have proven experience and go with something more traditional and more corporate.

Hi Jon, thanks for your advice.
I'm considering entering a medical device industry since I have research experience in this field.
High-end market is controlled by multinational corporations like GE and Siemens. I'm considering enrolling in such MBA LEADERSHIP PROGRAM and work as middle-level manager for 2 to 3 yrs to gain management experience of how a large corporation runs.
After that, I will startup my own business by working with research institutions to seize some market share of high-end products.

Hey!
Okay! Now your goals are starting to get more specific and to make more sense. For your long-term goals, unless you have real entrepreneurial experience or at least a SPECIFIC device in mind (like “I want to create robotic arms after my father lost the use of his arm due to a stroke) then I suggest you give up the entrepreneurial idea, and instead go with a more “traditional” goal of moving up within a medical devices company (say to become CEO)
