另外，这一句里as it was是什么从句，没见过这种句型，还以为是错的。
3 Students at Carver High School are encouraged to pursue only those extracurricular activities from which stems success in college applications.
这句话为什么是对的，stems为啥能倒装？

1. 介个回答不了，俺也没见过比较级前加 the 的情况。。。
2. 如果我没记错，正确的句子应该是：Hector remembers San Francisco as it was as though he had left ten years ago.
这句话是说H脑海里San Francisco的样子，还停留在仿佛十年前他离开时的样子。as it was是“正如它原来的样子”的意思。这句里，其实H并未离开，as though是虚拟语气。
3. 这个不是stem倒装呢。。。from后面开始是activity的定语从句，意思是说“丰富的课外活动是申请成功的源头”。句子理下顺序如下：
stusents at Carver High school are success in college applications, stemming from those extracurricular activities that school encourage them to pursue.作者: Bradz 时间: 2016-11-3 19:10
1的意思是，watering the （more than 50） Plants in her yard every day，括号里面修饰plants。
