之前做prep2008笔记的时候遇到这道题：

答案是C
语法笔记上说：A中a tool应该修饰radio，但位置上却修饰telephone；这是不是就是说同位语要修饰离他最近的名词？
然后做OG16 verb分册的时候就遇到了下面这个问题：

答案是D啊，关于D我就想问难道这里the largest of the ancient world 就没有修饰Alexandria的歧义吗？？？？？？
求指教！

恩啊 我看过了这个了啊 但是里面说的都是that跳跃代指的问题 我对这个没疑问 就是同位语这里有疑问
因为我发现这两道题关于同位语的代指的说明是相悖的啊 请NN帮我解答下啊

PREP08所说的方法不好。太复杂。
A. 句意转折不合理，错误；a tool for private conversation修饰telephone，错误；
B. 句意转折不合理，错误；a tool for private conversation修饰telephone，错误；
C. 正确；
D. conceived习语使用错误（正确习语应该是conceive X as Y）；which就近修饰telephone，错误； “instead” 被省略，改变原句合理意思，错误；
E. conceived习语使用错误（正确习语应该是conceive X as Y）；other than what it is意思模糊且与未划线部分搭配不符合语法规则，错误。
A/B选项 “句意转折不合理”
• 结合“instead”和未划线部分信息可知此处转折应该为：Ⅰ.尽管radio一开始被认为是a tool for private conversation; 但是 Ⅱ. radio最后还是成为了a tool for communicating with large, public audience.
• 从上述转折可知“a tool for conversation”应该作为noun modifier修饰radio，故A/B选项中a tool for private conversation修饰telephone逻辑意思错误。
• A/B选项传达的转折：Ⅰ.尽管radio是电话的替代品；但是Ⅱ.radio最终的功能是tool for communicating with large, public audience，转折不合理，错误。

那这里的 a tool for private conversation修饰telephone，错误；
也就是说a tool for private conversation做同位语修饰telephone了对吧？
那能不能帮我看下第二题 答案D中这里的the largest of the ancient world怎么就跳过at Alexandria去做同位语修饰 library了呢？
