(E) Beatrix Potter, in her book illustrations, carefully coordinated them with her narratives and正确答案是C但是E选项E选项把coordinated 看成是动词的话，我个人认为没什么错误。
请教一下各位。
另外，关于句子的modifier，在什么样的情况下无论放置在哪都是修饰句子的主语，在什么样的情况下，就近修饰其前或者后的名词呢？

E里的in her book illustrations是个non essential modifier，把它去掉时你在看主句里的them就无所指代了。

我刚刚又看了下某网站的解答，感觉自己的理解还是不到位，楼主无视我即可。。

其实我也有这个想法，去掉nonessential modifier以后them 无从指代，但是好像没有看到题目里面有这么解释过。

Ron回答过这个问题，他说这个说法是百分之百正确的(即主句里的them确实无法指代non essential modifier里的名词)，但是把这当做一个absolute rule记住一点用都不会有
