B选项的they ,them为啥没有出现指代不明的情况？怎么判断到底什么情况才是指代不明？已经搞不清楚了

这个题没有考指代，
a，是just as 要和so搭配，yet being后面本来就是一整个意思，被伴随了，语义错了
c，although后面加完整句子，而且也没有although yet
d，as
e，but和前面衔接了，和which后面的并列，和原句意思走远了

但是看到they ,them的话都会想到有关指代的问题啊

RON 说过指代不清在其他答案都是这样的情况下，GMAC是容忍的

这里them不会因为可能指代planet而产生歧义，因为planet是在介宾短语里，而句子的主语是stars，同时some of them是star的同位语，所以them当然要修饰被修饰的stars。
一般them指代都是指代句子里的主语或者临近宾语。

那they呢？它是新的从句，不算stars的同位语，前面又出现了planets 和stars 的两个名词，不会指代不明吗

一般一句话里面的代词指的是一个东西要么全主语要么全宾语

就像我说的，planet是在介宾短语中，一般they指代的都是逻辑主语或者临近宾语。而且这个句子but链接了stars和they，在Manhattan中说如果句子平行，那么指代也应该是平行的。基于以上两点原因，你的例子完全不会造成歧义。
