标题: 请教两道比较题目中than省略主语的区别？

Bihar is India’s poorest state, with an annual per capita income of $111, lower than in the most impoverished countries of the world.
(A) lower than in
(B) lower than that of
(C) and lower than that of
(D) which is lower than in
(E) which is lower than it is in

Only seven people this century have been killed by the great white shark, the man-eater of the movies—less than those killed by bee stings.

A. movies—less than those

B. movies—fewer than have been

C. movies, which is less than those

D. movies, a number lower than the people (B)

E. movies, fewer than the ones

如上两题答案都是B 第二道题prep中解释说 seven people是一个带有数值概念的复数名词，所以后面不能用those。而用than,than后面省略主语，后面补出have been，让省略的主语自动拥有”数值”属性。

那么第一题中的an annual per capita income of $111 不也是一个带有数值概念的名词吗？为什么可以用 that代指呢？为什么不能用上题中than后面省略主语的方法解释选项A呢？？？

求指教!

个人理解：than前后要平行，A中than后面的介词短语在前面灭有平行对象。正确选项B的that是指代income而$111只是income后面的补充修饰，再看下面的例子：

Employment costs rose 2.8 percent in the 12 months that ended in September, slightly less than they did in the year that ended in the previous quarter.
A  less than they did
B  less than it did
C  less than they were
D  lower than
E  lower than they were
key:A 如果有less than的选项也不对，因为会歧义

这两道题省略后产生的歧义是因为比较对象不明确吗？？
那下面这一题正确答案B中省略了了have been的主语就不会产生歧义呢？？
是因为有谓语have been吗？？

B. movies—fewer than have been
C. movies, which is less than those
D. movies, a number lower than the people
E. movies, fewer than the ones

我列出的那两道题，第一个不能省略是因为比较对象本身就错了，歧义都谈不上。第二个是比较对象有歧义。而你说的这道题，在语法笔记里面说如果主语一样那么可以省略，这道题符合规则，不会产生歧义。

其实你说的这道题我有个纠结点就是能不能把have been也给省了，因为语法笔记里面说如果前后主谓一样的话，后面的主谓是可以省的。我个人感觉have been省了也不会有歧义，不知道对不对。
