标题: 【求助】关于比较句中同时省略主语和谓语的问题
prep08语法笔记里面有一句话：
规则：4) 比较从句的主语和谓语与主句的主语和谓语相同时，可以全部省去，常常保留做状语的介词短语或状语从句。

下面我找出三个句子：
①Massachusetts became the first state in which more babies were born to women over the age of thirty than under it.
问：这个是该规则的例子吗？补全后是：Massachusetts became the first state in which more babies were born to women over the age of thirty than (they were born to women) under it.

②In Japan elderly people are treated with far greater respect than they are in most Western countries.
问：该句子中的they are是否可以根据规则省略？

③Only seven people this century have been killed by the great white shark, the man-eater of the movies—fewer than have been killed by bee stings.
问：have been killed能否省略？

不知道怎么解释，但是感觉不可以省略，因为里面的比较对象是seven people，“感觉”不要have been就成了seven people （killed by shark） vs. seven people （killed by bee stings），
同样的有那么一个题时那啥叫做什么 better than have been expected by expert（你去找一下吧，我记得是OG的）这里面省略了个that/those，其实是一样的。
上面都是我的一知半解。

我做题的时候也有你说的省略之后就变成都是seven people比较了，但是就是找不到一个像规则一样的东西。
那什么时候主谓能同时省略呢？

嗯，谢谢。不过这个帖子指出的补出主谓，但我困惑的是我的例子是否可以省略主谓而不产生歧义。尤其是②和③我还不是很明白
