D选项 it did in the past 中 did 是和compete parallel 还是和increase和compete啊，记得 og 以前有一道类似题因为平行不清楚是错的，谢谢。

这里did很明显是指increase profits and compete more effectively for customers，和整体parallel

和compete平行吧，如果把前面看做是一个整体来看，那么for customers怎么理解呢？总不能理解成increase profits more efficiently for customers吧！
