The present tense “might” correctly refers to the condition of economy in near future and “thought” correctly suggests the view that economists held in the past.

as.......as的原则就是前后一致,
A比较的weak的程度
the economy might not be as weak as (the extent of weakness) some analysts previously thought.
C比较的是economy
如果要比较economy前面的句子就不能是as weak as了
只能像下面这样
The economy might not be thought weak as (the economy) have been previously thought by some analysts
