这道题答案选E，因为declareing不能做谓语所以排除了AB，但是这句话最后面none could be taken seriously为什么不是一个完整的句子呢？有主谓结构呀。如果这句话是完整的句子那逗号不能连接两个完整的句子呀求大牛解答~~~

since 是连词这里引导原因状语从句， none could be taken seriously 是主句部分

原来是declared that 后面从句里的主句！！忽略了since。我明白啦。谢谢答主~~
