答案选择B， when指代的是1974，那么which were指代是什么？难道是in the hearings, 唯一的复数。

对啊就是hearings。句意就是听证会被电视转播而BJ参加了听证会，所以变成figure。因为是hearings被转播所以直接消除ACE。D中being修饰BJ指代BJ被转播明显逻辑不对。B最合适
