标题: 关于og2017-758的比较问题
比较问题实在是让人很头痛，请NN解答一下：

758-A选项：Prices are 1.3% higher now than a year ago. 这句话OG认为比较错误，因为：it illogically compares prices to a time.

可是在og17-772中：

正确的表达为：prices are expected to be higher this year than last. 这句话是正确的，express the comparison in succinct and parallel manner.

请问这两句话有何区别？谢谢！

先给LZ体会下几个句子：
1. People in China are taller than people in Japan.    √
2. People in China are taller than in Japan.          √
3. People in China are taller than Japan.          X

涉及“比较”的原则：
1. 找到than右边的内容。
2. 通过常识或句意来判断该内容是否可以是比较对象。
3. 在than的左边找到与该内容语法平行的对象

Prices are 1.3% higher now than a year ago，than的左右一个是时间，一个是今年价格高了1.3%，涉及到了具体数值，所以是拿价格高了1.3%和“去年”这个时间相比的，左右不能平衡。个人认为应该这样表达——Prices are 1.3% higher now than that of a year ago。

prices are expected to be higher this year than last，than的右边是时间，按照常识可以年份相比，在than的左边找到可以平衡的对象——今年，不涉及具体数值。

你的意思是第一句有1.38 percent，因此是强调prices，具体的prices不能和年份比较，所以是错的
第二句没有具体数字，强调的是去年和今年的比较所以没有问题。
我的理解对了吗？

楼主这个也是OG16的第90题，RON认为这个比较now than a year ago 是可以的，这个选项需要通过其他错误来排除

我同意二楼和三楼的说法。758题从答题技巧来看，可以通过排除法。从语法来看，今年和去年是可以比较的。原句可以改写为Prices now are 1.3% higher than (those of ) one year ago. Be动词+具体数字1.3%+形容词比较级higher，共同组成该句的“比较”功能。

感谢！然而ron的回复颠覆了我的认知。。居然说og答案是外包的，我一直以为og答案每句都是圣经。。
