正确答案是D.
解释： This choice is saying that the drop in spending is not itself causing the forecasts. Cuz the argument is that the causality runs the other way: the forecasts cause the drop in spending.
我的理解是选项D符合Cauality本末倒置原则，w Eliminates the possibility that the stated cause-and-effectrelationship is reversed.
可是可还是觉得不理解为什么选D, 我自己选的B。答案给的解释是，D is better than B.

Assumption系列题好难啊，都没有做对的。。。

題目說：只要報導預測將會有recession-->人們就不會買那些（自己認為）不必要的東西
問這個結論的前提是什麼？
Ｄ選項就是排除了 “先看到人們停止買非必要物品然後才預測將會有recession"的可能性，所以可以讓這個結論成立

Ｂ是無關比較人們現在比五年前更常看news跟結論搭不上邊啊

个人认为assumption题三大常态：

1，assumption直接联系了conclusion。
2，assumption否决了一个alternative。这个alternative可能会削弱这个conclusion。
3，assumption承认了conclusion和premise的地位（即两者没有颠倒）。

本题属于3。本题确认了conclusion和premise的地位没有颠倒。

如果颠倒了，则当然命题逻辑不合理。

个人以为1最容易抓，2和3相对难一点，因为常人的思考思维总是倾向什么是最直接能对conclusion产生逻辑联系的。

B应该离正确选项还差很多。这个“five years”毁掉了这选项的优越性。不然B选项是属于1这一类。
