没错,应该是E,不仅是平行的问题。还有fashion的用法问题。都决定只能是E

也就是说fashion的宾语应该是images of Hindu deities,而不是 empire
所以,此处应该用连词and连接(同一个主语images)。

但是E中为何时态不平行呢?date vs were fashioned=现在时 vs 过去时,请指正!

我想这里指的是两个不同的事情,测定年代是现在发生的事情,而帝国的繁荣是指过去的事情,所以时态应该不一样

问一个弱智的问题,和were fashioned并列的前一个动词是什么啊?是date么?如果是date,那么它的时态为什么不和were fashioned保持一致用过去时啊??

date from sth. means to have existed since a particular time in the past
The church dates from the 13th century.
