A选项里“ in his afterlife is······”读起来总感觉怪怪的，如果把中间的China's first emperor 直接去掉，就变成 the army of terra-cotta warriors created to protect Qin Shi Huang in his afterlife is more than 2.000 years old and took 700.000 artisans more than 36 years to complete，就更看不懂句子结构了，到底应该怎么理解呢？

1.Rivaling the pyramids....这句话肯定是要修饰一个名词，这个名词必须和金字塔差不多同等性质，那么就是兵马俑；
2.the army of terra-cotta warriors created to protect Qin Shi Huang（, China's first emperor, in his afterlife） is more than 2.000 years old and took 700.000 artisans more than 36 years to complete. 这句就是 army created to do sth is more than 2000 years and took... creaded 和 took 是平行的， is 才是main verb
3、根据形容错误排除BCDE

created是形容词，修饰the army of terra-cotta warriors。took不可能和created平行，因为如果和created平行，took也要做修饰，就要用take的过去分词形式taken而不是took。所以took和is平行。

诶你说的有道理，不过可以直接句子结构酱紫可以吗：noun+-ed modifier+main verb+and -ed modifier

这样and前面是一个句子，后面是一个形容词，没办法平行。
