我想问的是A，千行整理版关于A的错误除了没有用that外还有一条：
是event reducing number而不是ancestors
在语法笔记中有总结“，doing”用法：1表示伴随：此时doing的主语是前一句的主语 2表示结果：此时doing分句修饰前面的句子，
我觉得此时doing的用法应该是第二个啊
他们遭受了一个event导致数量减少了。。。。

此处做结果状语，doing的逻辑主语可以不必是ancestors，这里没有错误。
A主要错在an event导致的逻辑意思错误上：
an event是泛指而不是特指。
放个屁，迷个路都可以是an event，会导致reducing their numbers and thus our genetic variation.的结果不？
