(D) emotion; they also actually contribute to the feeling of it（C）

我对答案没有任何异议，只有一事不明，主句是过去时，从句为何可用一般时啊？这里不是表真理和普遍规律啊？是因为not？如果这里有助动词，比如说did ,那provide肯定用原形，可在没有助动词，只有not的情况下，provide 可用原形吗？后面的contribute呢？

过去式讲不同啊，难道面部表情只在过去not only....but also....?

菜鸟鸟这里觉得算是规律了。

tony的总结说“表真理及普遍规律这一点只有一种情况：sb said后接一般现在时”啊，believe也有可能？

一般现在时表真理及普遍规律，或者说话或发表意见的人认为是普遍真理和事实，都可以这么用。这是个常用的语法现象，不仅是gmat的语法现象。

不仅said和believed可以，还有许多类似的词，应该都可以.

想知道的是在but also前面不用加一个逗号吗？？变成

另外这里的itself指的是什么呢，？
