对于d,我不确定的是，比起encourage sb to do and do来说，encourage sb to do and to do是不是才更加并列？thereby 是不是也对这种选择有作用？因为一般见到的thereby前好像都有逗号亚，而D却没有。哪位NN能帮忙解答下？

In this case, it may not be appropriate to use encourage sb to do and to do because activate is a consequence of touch and the order of these two actions can not be changed. A comma does not necessarily need to be placed before thereby.
