我觉得两个选项的意义接近：大胆粉碎期望。

a选项的明显错误是比较结构不平行吧。

按照D选项翻译：
在1945年，带有AA和DM从来没法相比的的勇气，她粉碎了作为第一夫人的期望之后。。。。

感觉还是讲不通。
能把D选项翻译一下吗。

个人理解 with an audacity修饰的是shatter这个动作。

大意：1945年，就在她作为第一夫人的生涯结束后（她在这段生涯中用一种AA和DM无法比拟的勇气粉碎了期望），ER被委任为代表。。。。

Abigail Adams ， Dolly Madison ，Eleanor Roosevelt 都是第一夫人
Eleanor Roosevelt 不用说了，是罗斯福的老婆。
前两个是早期总统的夫人。

简单的说吧，这道题意思是说罗斯福夫人比前两个胆子更大更牛逼，在罗斯福死后（第一夫人结束），被杜鲁门任命为驻联合国大使。
