Glaciers form when the snow,sleet,and hail that fall in a given climatic region exceed the amount capable of being lost through evaporation or melting.

B.a given climatic region's fallen snow,sleet,and hail exceeds the amount able to be
C.the amount of snow,sleet,and hail that falls in a given climatic region exceeds the amount

答案是C

但是C里面that不是就近指代hail吗，意思不就不对了吗？

A of B 的这种情况下，要看清楚那个是中心词。 that 和 ,which 是要就近指代，但是要求就近指代中心词，曼哈顿语法说的

而且Gmat考察parallel更多这里的 the amount of ... exceeds the amount ...标标准准的Official answer (OA), always choose the best.

that和which不一样。
that在很多情况下可以跳跃
which在某些情况下可以跳跃
which极大多数情况下只能修饰前面的名词

amount 后面还有 snow sleet hail
是amount of snow sleet hail fall

假设that之修饰hail
那就变成了只有hail fall
