这道题的argument是Clearly, dropping this restriction would allow the other species to recover.吧？

B是怎么样来weaken的呢？

我想B的意思是说，人hunt 5%的snow geese的需要的时间是变短了，说明geese的total number在下降。那么drop不drop，都无关紧要了。但是这种假设和原题的by recent sharp increases in the population of snow geese矛盾呀

这个题觉得很难理解，记得以前lawyerNN解释过此题。

我想，B中的完成时表示的意思是， the restriction led to the hunting season for snow geese being closed earlier than the schedule date.很多年没有没有实施了（当然是不符合实施条件了。）。也就是说，相对于今天的Some species of Arctic birds were threatened，可能有别的原因导致了recent sharp increases in the population of snow geese，所以，dropping this restriction未必有用。

总之，觉得此题非常难以理解。

此题确实较难理解。snow geese生长在Arctic，在southern regions 过冬，B的意思是说，人hunt 5%的snow geese的需要的时间是变短了，说明geese在southern regions 过冬的数量少拉，可能有geese到其他地方过冬，即使southern regions 的猎人kill比5%多，也不一定allow the other species to recover。
