新开贴因为问题非常simple。。。

错选C ，已接受 it 距离指代词太远，模糊
问题是：正确选线E : is likely to make an executive miss signs of incipient trouble 难道不应该是 make sb to do 吗？？？？？？？？？？？？？

正确用法：make sb do

上了一个语法课讲过这道题，方法虽然看上去挺不靠谱的但是做题还是很好用【用代词来解这题】
A. Heavy commitment by an executive to a course of action, especially if it has worked well in the past, makes it likely to miss signs of incipient trouble or misinterpret them when they do appear.
出现代词it it指代前面出现的单数名词： commitment executive course action, 指代不清晰~ they 同理
ACD同理

B. An executive who is heavily committed to a course of action, especially one that worked well in the past, makes missing signs of incipient trouble or misinterpreting ones likely when they do appear.
one也是代词， one指代executive / course/action
E. Being heavily committed to a course of action, especially one that has worked well in the past, is likely to make an executive miss signs of incipient trouble or misinterpret them when they do appear.
one指代 course、 action E比B 更好选择E 而且B中 make sth likely 表达错想表达某事可能发生用make sth possible

我的想法：

A：似乎没错，留着
B：make missing不对。此外删除修饰who is heavily committed to a course of action，发现an executive makes missing,很不合理，不可能一个总裁自己让自己miss，应该是过于相信一系列action导致了missing
C：一样道理啊，删除修饰 who is heavily committed to a course of action，发现总裁自己“很有可能忽略或者误解。。。“
D：misinterpreting错了，不应该加ing，因为前面miss和它平行啊。
E：看起来没错。

A vs E，Heavy commitment by an executive to a course of action不如Being heavily committed to a course of action好。所以E。有了by应该用动词，如果是commitment，应该用 to。

我当时也没想明白，后来把这句话背过了。

make sb do可以。doing不可以。
判断C我觉得还是要靠语意，我当时没有想出it离得远的问题。

你可以尝试这样做题：删除修饰成分，你会发现C改变了原意。删除修饰同样适用其他题。看见who啊，which啊，where啊，直接删除。

hi dear～谢谢分享这个代词排除法
But 关于C，使用这个方法貌似有问题
c. An executive who is heavily committed to a course of action is likely to miss or misinterpret signs of incipient trouble when they do appear, especially if it has worked well in the past.

they － signs， it － course (of action) .....(of action 是course 的修饰，不会出现it指代action 的情况)

这样C还是不能被排除

（）=修饰，删除后发现executive is likely to miss

个人看法。
今天也看到这道题了。同意415lethe妹子的解释。

通过考点排除法选择A，不是考点不要花费太多精力纠结语法。（除非时间充足）

题主多记一个一个习语，make sth do。
SC是优选题，就是在所给答案中选择最优的，除E外其他各种问题，而是make to do和make sth do都是常见的。
