我现在搞不懂的是为什么wasps要写两遍？？直接说Yellow jackets number among the 900 or so species of the world’s social wasps that live in a highly cooperative and organized society consisting almost entirely of females—the queen and her sterile female workers.不行吗？

1、楼主的改写句中：。。。 social wasps that live in a highly cooperative and organized society consisting almost entirely of females—the queen and her sterile female workers.红色部分是that引导的限定性定语从句，限定修饰social wasps，隐含的意思是：social wasps这个整体中，除了live in a highly cooperative （即that从句中的描述）这种，还有别的种类。

例：I have a car that is equipped with Turbo-engine. 意思是：我除了有一辆Turbo引擎的车，还有其他的车。

2、正确选项B中：Yellow jackets number among the 900 or so species of the world’s social wasps, wasps that live in a highly cooperative and organized society consisting almost entirely of。。。
逗号+wasps that。。是同位语结构，将逗号左面的social wasps作为整体来修饰。
相比之下，that限定性定语从句就是social wasps的一个”子集“。

This is the Resumptive Modifier. You can google it definition and in this modifier, the key word has to be repeated.

我的思考：
A：they 错了。删除
B：没问题
C：means怪怪的，society almost all之间连接不好，感觉不好
D：means很怪，coorporateive 和organizaed 之间应该有个and，后面不应该有and，删除
E：同D

你的问题：为什么有两边wasp？因为剩下的选项都错了。如果有个选项是这么写的：
living in a highly cooperative and organized society consisting almost entirely of
那么这个选项肯定代替B变成答案。

这三个表达都对。

没必要和想的那么复杂。不用想什么限定或者非限定，考试没时间想那么多。
其实很简单，用你的例子，
I have a car that is equipped with Turbo-engine.
可以说：
I have a car that equipped with Turbo-engine.
I have a car，equipped with Turbo-engine
I have a car，a car that is equipped with Turbo-engine.
I have a car，a car equipped with Turbo-engine.

1、我以为，楼主问的是“同位语结构”“和that定语从句”的区别，而并非“最快速的解题方法”。

2、语法结构正确与否只是SC排除法的第一步，你不会否认“meaning”的重要性吧？

他不懂为什么有两个wasp------那是因为AE有语法错误，CD太复杂了。所以B对了，所以正确选项有两个wasp。
----------只有这样分析才能说明为什么wasp要写两遍。

如果只看B，不看其它选项，那么真的没有必要有两个wasp。

所以做题要看语境，也就是要综合五个选项，有的时候局限于一个选项很容易产生疑惑。

关于解题：解题是语法和meaning的综合。有的题突破点是语法，有的题突破点是meaning。
大多数题的思路先用语法排除2-3个，剩下的只能用meaning排除。

所以用语法排除2-3错误选项不代表否认meaning在解题中的关键啊------因为到了后面还是得用meaning。

反过来这道题先用meaning没法做----C用mening是对的！

来一个meaning很重要的题：

BD有语法错误，剩下的AEC则是用meaning来判断的，尤其是C。

不过你觉得下面两句话的含义一样吗？

2、“the 900 or so species of the world’s social wasps,wasps that live in a highly cooperative and organized society”
