补充一下LS，ETS的答复在89楼：

并且对于which的就近修饰问题回答的很含糊。这是个老问题啊~~

对于本题来说，逻辑上看which应当修饰non-Hispanic Whites（与主句的谓语修饰相同）

从就近原则上来看，那应该也是修饰California吧？不可能是minority

这句话which所指应该是主语non-Hispanic Whites,所以用which定语从句就存在指代问题了,而用分词表伴随很好啊.

可是我觉得这里的指Whites的话是不是应该用who会更好一点呢？

which amounts 单数可修 a minority 或 California 歧意

which 加逗号隔开修饰对象可近可远要靠其他元素确立（如动词）

amounting to 句尾的分词从句就只往前修饰逻辑主语无歧意

only为何省略就无从得知了
